Provides support to the practice management duties i.e. scheduling, post charges and co-pays, supply inventory and ordering, and patient flow management. Supports the office management and clerical support in the provision of patient care. Serves as patient advocate.
Education & Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent required.
A minimum of two years administrative or office management experience in a physician's office or outpatient health care setting required.
Previous experience in billing, coding, claims submission and processing, accounts receivable and payable required.
Intermediate computer skills required, including but not limited to Medical Manager practice management system, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to type 40 words per minute required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
