Job Details:
Gathers all pertinent demographical and insurance information from the patient. In addition, this position is responsible for ensuring gathered information is entered accurately and expeditiously into the computerized system. Through self directed work, incumbents schedule customers and process registrations for patients entering the healthcare organization through various points of entry, securing all necessary information for internal operations, while introducing customer to the environment. The incumbent also secures necessary signatures, complete billing screens, collect required payments, begin the financial responsibility process by arrange payment methods, assist patients to various departments, answer questions, work closely with other healthcare professionals and outside organizations. You must have the ability to be cross trained to cover various areas of registrations.
Education &
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Some college preferred.
Minimum two years medical office experience in a healthcare facility or physicians practice required.
Hospital registration experience preferred.
Intermediate computer skills required.
Medical Terminology required within 6 months of employment.
Current work experience requiring interacting with customers.
Licensure & Certification:
Medical Terminology certification required within 6 months of employment.
CHAA certified within 1 year of employment required.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
